1- Lupita Nyong'o
Several awards evaluated at more than a dozen awards. This
is the total award received by the actress for her role as a slave in the film
Twelve Years a Slave. Since the young woman of Kenyan origin connects the
roles, and was already announced in 2017 for Star Wars, episode VIII: The Last
Jedi and for 2018 in the film Black Panther.
2- Aïssa Maïga
Aïssa Maïga was born in Senegal to a Malian father and a
Senegalese and Gambian mother. She starred in her first feature film in 1996 in
France. Since her beginnings, the actress has played in no less than forty
productions and has obtained 10 awards, including a decoration as a knight of
the arts and letters. Today in France, Aïssa has become an icon of cinema, but
also an African pride.
3- Omar Sy
An awesome guy born to a Mauritanian mother and a Senegalese
father, and of Peulh origin , Omar Sy is the synonym for the word "success
story". Out of the hatch, he finds himself playing the chroniclers on a
radio thanks to his friend Jamel Debouze. When he meets Fred, they write and
follow up the mini-sketches on channel (the After-Sales Service). Boom, bada,
boom, everything comes together when Omar plays in untouchable. His role as
Dris, earned him several awards including the Cesar for best actor. Since then
Sy has moved to Los Angeles to better juggle between major Hollywood
productions and his filming in France.
4- Charlize Théron
The South African is surely and undoubtedly one of the most
successful African actresses in Hollywood cinema. The 41-year-old star to film
in no less than forty films and received 16 awards including an Oscar in 2003
for his role in Monster.
5- Djimon Hounsou
Djimon Hounsou is a Beninese actor living and
filming in Hollywood. He first started as a model and finally fell into the
cinematographic thing in the 90s. Djimon is best known for his roles in
Gladiator, Amistad, Blood Diamond, The Island, Special Forces or Never Back
Down 2. He has even got 4 awards including 3.
